SPAM Avoidance
It is an inevitable consequence of running a website that one gets plagued with SPAM and undesirable posts made by automated malware or spyware from around the web. To help combat this, we have recently added a so-called “captcha” process onto the site. This will ask you to give the answer to a simple sum before accepting your entry, just to prove you are human and not an automated spybot or similar. We hope it doesn’t prove too much of an inconvenience but do let us know if it causes any problems (if you are a genuine user, you will already have the right email or, indeed, will be able to have a face to face conversation with us!)
Please keep posting your comments or offering material for the site. This change is in no way meant to discourage genuine contributions.

Matt, I must strenuously object to tour labelling Fred as computer-illiterate just because he hasn’t got a computer. He was dealing with IT stuff before you were born. Your offensive mockery is all the more objectionable because he can’t witness it himself, being, erm, computer-illiterate. I agree with the implied suggection that he might get a laptop or palm-held device to be accessible to the rest of us, thoigh I believe he does have a landline, a mobile and several ace carrier pigeons.
Cheers, Eric

Appreciate the feedback Eric – obviously nothing is intended other than a light hearted remark and I would suggest “offensive mockery” is a little over the top. I will certainly edit the post, however.
